Discovery Program for Global Learners
From the World to Okayama, from Okayama to the World.
A multidisciplinary program connecting the local and the global. A four-year undergraduate program first started in October 2017, where diverse students from both Japan and abroad have the opportunity to study alongside one another. As of September 2022, 77 international students from 27 countries are now enrolled, including returnees from Singapore.
A flexible curriculum and two tracks that enable diverse learning. Students will consult with their academic advisors to create their own individualized curriculum by selecting courses that match their interests, ambitions, and future goals. We also offer opportunities for practical learning through internships, fieldwork, study abroad, and experiments.
Discovery Track: Subjects you can study in English
Targeted at students who are interested in learning about the various interdisciplinary topics covered by the three primary subject groups, and who wish to study and conduct their senior project in English.

Matching Track: Participating Faculties/ Department:
Japanese language proficiency is required.
Students will conduct their senior project under the guidance of a faculty member affiliated with one of the nine faculties* of Okayama University. This track is designed for students who wish to pursue more specialized studies in a particular academic field.

Application for April entrance mainly to students who graduated from high schools in Japan.
The anticipated number of students to be admitted is 27 Students. Every year, the application period begins in September and examinations take place in October.
